Is it just me or is this new format going to make things slower? It seems to be taking my computer a lot longer to load the pages.

You need to get the new images cached. The ads are kind of big. I need to go back and tweak them to bring the file sizes down..

I tried this earlier today, but then they looked kind of bad. I need to spend some more time working on this, but I just didn't have the time to try to figure this out while we were launching.   

Once they are cached in your system things will moter along fine. The HTML file itself is not big at all.
